Great spectacle at Westphalian Online Auction

Galaxy-son advances to the top price in Westphalia

Price list Westphalian Online Auction foals predispositioned for dressage

Münster: The online collection of the foals predispositioned for dressage of the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch e.V. were met with great interest. For a very good average price of 10,761 Euros 23 foals were sold. The highest desire was aroused by a Galaxy/Samarant son. The bay was sold for 30,000 Euros.

After the successful start of the foal summer at the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch e.V. three weeks ago, the second online foal auction was also a great success. 25 foals predispositioned for dressage were for sale on Monday evening. In the run-up to the auction the head number 20 who was still quite virgin in the bids, became the focus of the buyers' interest. The Galaxy/Samarant son (breeder and exhibitor: ZG Fockenberg, Dorsten) with the characteristic name Ganz großes Kino arose high bids. The virtual hammer fell at 9 pm at 30,000 Euros. The knock-down was awarded to the KS Horses GmbH from Heiden. The head number 8 was not only on everyone's lips because of his striking face. Veni, vidi, vici: He came, saw and won in the true sense of the words. Since the beginning of the online auction there has been great interest in the Vaderland/Fidertanz son (breeder and exhibitor: Angela Butkus, Overath). The dark chestnut is a stallion prospect of top class. Several licensed stallions descent from his dam line. His grandmother produced, among others, For Dance and the Champion Stallion of the 2008 Westphalian licensing, Flanagan. For a price of 22,500 Euros he will remain in Germany.

Popular Vaderland offspring

The most sought-after filly is also by the young stallion Vaderland. Out of a dam by Rosario, Bernhard Deitert, Schöppingen, bred Valena. The dark chestnut mare was sold for 16,500 Euros. She will move to her new home stable in Great Britain.

Of the 25 foals offered at the auction, 23 found a new owner. Ten of them broke the 10,000 Euro mark. Three of them cost more than 20,000 Euros. On average the customers invested 10,761 Euros in the foals sold. The young Westphalians are not only popular in Germany. Almost one third of the foals will be stabled abroad in the future.

"We are more than satisfied with the outcome of this online auction," said auction and marketing manager Thomas Münch. "It is nice to see that both our breeders and our customers have such great confidence in us. Only through this trust can our online auctions be so successful! I would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again on behalf of the entire team.“

After the first foal auctions, the collection of riding horses is now in the starting blocks. A preview of the collection is already online at www.westfalenpferde.de. Bids can be placed on the online auction website from June 9th onwards. The auction ends on June 14th at 2 pm. Another online foal auction will end on June 15th at 7.30 pm.
